Can I foster?

The children we care for are from diverse backgrounds and have an array of unique talents, skills, and needs. We need foster parents to reflect this diversity and welcome people from all walks of life to apply to foster with us.

What is your relationship status?

What is your gender?

Are you employed?

Do you own your own home?

Do you have a spare room?

Are you a UK resident?

Do you have any criminal convictions?

Do you have any health concerns?

Do you or does anyone in your household smoke or vape?

Have you ever had contact with social services (Children’s social care or Adult’s social care) before?

Do you have any pets living in your home?

Becoming a foster parent – the basics

To be a foster parent with Atrium, you will definitely need to make sure of the following:

  • You are at least 21 years of age
  • You have at least one spare bedroom for a child or young person to call their own
  • You are a full-time resident in the UK
  • You can dedicate the time to care for a child or young person – full time in most cases
