Hi & Welcome!

We’re Atrium Foster Care

We’re passionate about caring for children and young people. Maybe you are too? If so, we’re glad you dropped by. Take a browse and let us show you that we can be the team that supports you to become a foster parent. Together we can achieve great things for children and young people across the West Midlands region and beyond. Let’s show you how…..

Statement of Purpose

Our Statement of Purpose sets out the aims, objectives and beliefs that underpin our work, and commit everyone involved in Atrium Foster Care to the best interests and welfare of children as our priority. The Statement of Purpose shows how this priority will be met and how we will achieve the best outcomes though our services. It outlines how our agency is managed and the procedures we have set in place to recruit, train, supervise, value and support our whole team including fostering families, staff, independent social workers and fostering panel members.

You can Download The Statement here.

The Atrium Way

At Atrium Foster Care we believe that all children deserve a safe and happy childhood where playfulness aids their emotional and physical development as they build trusting, meaningful, enduring and secure relationships with those who care for them. As caregivers we must wholeheartedly commit to accepting how the child’s experience of trauma has impacted them and without accepting who a child truly is then it is likely that their belief that rejection is the norm will manifest in their behaviours. To help a child on their recovery journey we must be really curious about how the child has experienced their early childhood and consistently and compassionately demonstrate empathy.

Through our PACE therapeutic approach we gain the skills to care for a child on their recovery journey in the repair of broken trust of adults. Happy children grow into happy adults and without a childhood, becoming an adult is almost an impossible dream.

“Because of its healing-based approach, and the focus on attachment trauma, therapeutic parenting is an excellent tool for foster parents. This style of parenting allows children to build secure attachments and begin healing, as it cultivates feelings of safety and security.

At Atrium, all our foster parents, and the team that support them, receive essential training that prepares them for therapeutic foster parenting.

If “The Atrium Way” resonates with you, and you have a passion make a difference to a child’s life by becoming a therapeutic foster parent, please submit your contact details to request a call back from one of the team.
